The Maxi Priest cover was shot in a beautiful studio in Hampstead for EMI records commissioned by Rob O’Connor at Stylo Rouge – Maxi posed differently for each shot as the motordrive whirred – we were trying to get a feeling of exhaltation from him in the images. I played my violin to him in the studio between the sessions. The Intentions cover was shot later on the Circle Line and the print blue toned.
